Farmington, CT - SCC's Miguel Marques, at his first ASA event of the
season, beats Paul Eyes 2-1 in an exciting final and wins the New England
Championship X. The ASA Northeastern title stays in Connecticut as Marques
succeeds to his cousin, Luis Silva, who won the 9th edition in October 2005.
Miguel reached the final by outlasting Conturso in a marathon match that
ended at the last shoot-out (0-0, 1-0). Paul defeated Andrea Gasparini 1-0
in the other semifinal.
Rob Tucker (MSC) brings home the MJ title with a prestigious win over
former US champion, Jeremy Meyer (3-0).
Paul Eyes, who almost makes a historical double, trashes Eddie Davidson 6-1
to take once again Veterans' top honors.
SCC's Mike Eylward confirms to be the best East Coast youngster with a 3-1
win over Maryland's Patrick Sheridan in the U19 Championship Match.
