2nd Connecticut State Cup
Dec.30, 2005/ Aug.4, 2006
Wallingford, CT

Two for two: Massimo Conturso takes home the 2nd annual State Cup for his 2nd straight title.

This year's edition, which was characterized by the combined and progressive forfeit of Group
D's players, had its key moment in the Conturso-Marques semifinal. With 90 seconds to time,
Miguel had a clear shot from the middle of the shooting area that Massimo somehow saved to
preserve the 1-1 score. After 90 seconds in OT, the ball was in Miguel's net with the Italian
sailing toward the Final.

The 2006/07 edition will have
Andrea Gasparini of SC Salem as player & SCC honorary member.
The Final: Massimo Conturso vs. Luis Silva
