Locked on a perfect tie with Massimo,
Miguel claimed an absolutely crucial 5th win
in the first League Friday of August, and he
can start storing the champagne in the
fridge.
Of the best 8 performances, the
Portuguese now has 5 wins + 3 second
places, while the Italian is stuck at 4 + 4.
That means Miguel is in the driver's seat,
and has the table's leadership guaranteed.
Massimo's only hope is to win the last
League Friday on the 22nd (no club meeting
on the 15th), and to force a playoff final on
the 29th.

Drawn in Group A with the Silva brothers,
Conturso's frustration grew by the minute as
his shooting appeared to be off. He couldn't
unlock Lou's defense (0-0) and fell short
against Frank (3-0) after squandering a great
amount of scoring chances in both games.
Luis Silva came out winner by goal
differential and went on facing Marques and
Taylor, who respectively schooled Frankie Jr
Silva (2-1) and Pat Ciccarelli (8-1).

With Massimo forfeiting his 2nd round
games, U12 Silva claimed the 4th place with
a 6-0 win over Ciccarelli, and the attention
shifted on Table 1 for the championship
round.

Taylor was showing off his new
sexy Rex
bases, and approached the match against
his Portuguese pet hate with a new
attitude. But his free flowing play and
3-figure defense didn't pay more than a
scoreless draw.
Like in LF10, Luis Silva was able to exploit
the Scotsman's defensive holes, and earned
a possibly decisive 1-0 win in the 2nd game.
At that point, all the night host needed was
a point with Marques.
Miguel was on a mission, and parked most of
his figures in the attacking half. His defense
didn't appear to be exeptionally sharp, but
luckily for him. so was Luis' shooting. Silva
had chances to score 2 or more goals, but
his sensational errors gave breathing room to
his cousin, who regrouped and scored twice
for a money-in-the-bank win.
