Like Sexy, Paul Eyes is back!
The ASA Favorite made an
unexpected visit and attended
the tournament that was
dedicated to his inspiring battle
against Lymphatic cancer. Paul
looked in great shape, both on
and off the pitch, and reached
the semifinals to share 3rd place
honors with Massimo Conturso.
Zach Walker, who defeated
Conturso 1-0, sailed to the final
victory with a 3-1 win over Daniel
Cranston in a 2007 Nationals
rematch.
The other highlight of the annual
(soon to be biannual?) Delaware
road trip was the splendid
Christiana Cup that Eddie Davidson
grabbed in a dramatic fashion,
when he scored to Ohio's Steven
Laskey with a long range shot at
18 seconds to time.
The other 2 SCC players, Ostap
Mishtal & Jim Taylor, made their
presence notable as they both
qualified to the Quarter Finals
along with the sharp Ed Morgan
(10-1 on goals for Ed) and the
improved Anthony Rubbo (2 wins
for him in group stage).
Congratulations to the winners,
the organizers and the players all
as $ 180.00 were collected and
donated to the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Fund.
