As the City was pulling its collective hair for
Federica Pellegrini and Michael Phelps and
the African heat was nearly unbearable,
Bjorne Club's co-founders Massimo Conturso
& Francesco Codraro met for their traditional
friendly face-off.
The meeting has become a pleasant custom
during Massimo's visits to Motherland in the
last few years. However, this one had to be
cut out in the busy Conturso Family's
schedule that also prevented the presence
of Lazio's Stefano & Diego Tagliaferri.
Contacts were established with Stefano, but
Massimo's numerous commitments made an
extended meeting impossible.
The 2 matches played by the two old time
friends were squeezed between Francesco's
work day and Massimo's family dinner, and
were balanced and highly entertaining.
Massimo was pleased to find out the long
inactivity didn't corrode Francesco's shooting
skills. Hopefully, with Stefano's help, those
skills will be nurtured with continuity in the
next future.
