CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Eddie Davidson - JUVENTUS FC
Jeff Davidson - BAYER LEVERKUSEN
Jim Taylor - LIVERPOOL
Miguel Marques - SPORTING LIS.
Massimo Conturso - REAL MADRID
Once again, we played Subbuteo in a hot and humid night
of August. Once again, Massimo won and kept the Cup
home.
So, where are the news? Well, the Italian didn't have a
perfect record; Jim Taylor wasn't late; the Davidsons
started to talk about moving from Connecticut.
The Connecticut Wolves are going to play their last game
of this season on Sunday 25th (New England Cup's Final in
New Britain). The City of New Britain, which owns the team,
seems to have intention to drop the project-Wolves,
despite their great and profitable season. If no one will
come out with some new ideas, Connecticut could have no
pro-soccer team next year ..and our Eddie--Wolves'
General Manager--no job.
Last night, they were talking about new possible
destinations and asking about Subbuteo associations
around the country. We don't know if they will leave us,
but we know that they will make the local flicking club a fun
and friendly place, wherever they'll be.
We are proud of them and we'll miss them very much.
