In the night of the DOUBLE VENUE (5 players at
Trinity for the League, 5 in Farmington for the
Cup), Massimo broke the taboo-Miguel and claimed
his 23rd Challenge Cup title. This has been the 3rd
final between the Italian and Miguel in 2003 and
the Portuguese was becoming quite a nightmare
for the guy from Rome. After an exciting first half,
with 2-2 on posts, Massimo took control of the
game and scored twice for the victory.
Tonight will be remembered for a great event for
our club: the number of players is now
double-digit!
In fact, FRANK SILVA, Luis' brother, decided to
join us and came back in action after 15 years of
inactivity. Despite the obvious blow-outs
(memorable 1-6 against his brother..), he showed
great skills, had an epic game against Rick and
announced excited to have intention to order
teams and Astropitch!
To remain in the family, Luis had a great night as
well. He came from a 0-4-0 in the last week, still he
won two games in the Group Stage and battled at
the very last minute against his cousin Miguel for
the passage to the Final. Luis played the 3rd place
final against Rick and won 1-0: not bad for a new
comer!
