Just a few weeks after his introduction in the Club, Luis Silva became
the third player to have won the prestigious Challenge Cup!
In the night of PRESS COVERAGE by Doug Malan of Farmington Life
(a feature story will be published on March's issue), Luis came back
from a double lost against his cousin Rick, beat Eddie in a true
win-or-die match and brought the massive trophy home.
Tonight's favorite, Eddie Davidson, sure lost a great chance of being
part of the Club's gotha. After an heroic resistance and great saves
against Ryan in League's opening game (0-0), he started the Cup
with a great victory, his greatest, against rookie Rick Marques: 3-0!
Unfortunately for him, Luis was in great shape and beat him twice. In
group's last match, the Portuguese scored when less than 2 minutes
were left to play: the same old bad habit for Davidson Sr.
Marques Jr had a great night as well. Winning the Group was certainly
an excellent demonstration of skills and Rick looked ready to battle in
Club's next League.
