| August 6, 2002 THE MATRIX |
| It was an incredible night, here in Farmington, Connecticut, where the Canadian winds brought some cool air and great news. The first edition of the Connecticut Cup is around the corner: only 12 days are left to the historical kick off. The New Yorkers Jimmy and Manny confirmed their presence in a competition that will be an ASA event starting from August 2003. Tonight, Massimo Conturso won his fourth straight title. He defeated Miguel Marques in a battled final that saw its end at the 2nd minute extra time, when the Italian slammed a rocket from his own penalty area and sent the ball in the lower corner. It was a perfect conclusion to a perfect competition. The Qualifying Round was something unbelievable, with 4 players in 4 points in the final standings, the Davidsons in great shape, Massimo blocked by both Jim and Miguel and goal differentials needed to determine the Challenger.
