Tuscan-born and Big Apple resident,
Massimo Cutuli received the official welcome
as SCC member on Monday night. Cutuli was
in Hartford for work and, after a quick dinner
with the Conturso family, the two Massimos
headed for Ash Court where ASA VP Eddie
Davidson agreed in hosting an unusual
mid-week meeting. Conturso claimed his
43rd title with a final match's goal scored
with 30 seconds left.

In the Shoot-out Derby night (click here),
Miguel Marques won his personal 11th cup
title, first since he turned double-digit on
April 15, 2005. In the knock-out
tournament, Mig received no goals and had
brilliant wins over younger brother, Rick in
the family derby; youngster Eylward in the
semifinals; and capitalized a prolific first half in
the final against title holder, Conturso.
