Wallingford - In the night that saw once again a
postponing of the 2004-05 State League Playoffs,
Miguel Marques grabbed his 12th personal Challenge
Cup title after defeating his brother Rick in overtime
(1-0). Rick, at his 4th final in the last 10 cups, bounced
back from a sloppy group stage with a convincing win
over Conturso in the semifinal, while Miguel beat U19
Mike Eylward on a 1-0 decision. The oldest Marques
doubled his previous title by keeping once again his
goal inviolated and scored 9.
Conturso didn't qualify to the final for the first time in
the last 11 Challenge Cups.
