Farmington, CT
With the eyes of the nation on Saint Louis,
Conturso wins his 59th title and matches his
own 42nd-to-46th-edition, 5-cup winning
streak in the 2nd consecutive Challenge Cup
without Portuguese players.
Jim Taylor is 0-for-14 in his Challenges, all
against the Italian.
Although the Club is abdicating the National
Team throne this weekend, the plan to
unveil the new uniforms goes on as Jeff,
Eddie & Massimo pose with the All-Blacks
shirts (see photos).
This season, SCC players drove for 1,780
miles (= 2,864 Km) to play tournaments on
the East Coast and support fellow clubs'
activity. With the 2008 Nationals being
reportedly held in Texas, the Club will be
impatient to show off the new look and
reclaim the Team Graal conquered in
Connecticut in 2006.
