All the SCC Challenges
In the first club meeting of season in
Wallingford, and first at Olde Oak since
June 22nd, Massimo Conturso wins his
60th Challenge Cup title with a 2-0 win
over Rick Marques after their 3rd
match-up in the last 5 Cups.

The 20-minute matches started with
fireworks as U19 Mike Eylward beat
Miguel Marques for the first time ever,
while Conturso scored at the buzz to
defeat new Christiana Cup champion,
Eddie Davidson, for a total of 8 goals in
2 games.
The 5 players eventually settled down
and only 7 goals were scored in the
following 8 games, not without the help
from posts & crossbars.

The overall high pace tournament found
a great end in the Challenge as both
Group winner, Rick Marques and
Conturso played an open match full of
shots & scoring chances. The 2 goals
arrived in the last 4 minutes as the
Italian grabbed his 12th title in the last
13 editions, and matched the 3rd
longest winning streak at 6.
Impossible is nothing. Indeed.
