Mig's 17th title

The 2009-2010 season, the 9th for SCC,
kicked off on a rainy Patriot Day in
Wallingford.
The summer has passed without any
significant news, with the exeption of the
Oakwood exhibition & the Rome meeting,
and the club's 4-player hard core got
together for a subbuteo revival.

Because none of the players displayed their
top mental form due to the long break, the
matches were wide open and end-to-end
spectacular.
In other times, Massimo's loss to Jim would
have had a louder echo. But that taboo is
long gone and Taylor is enjoying a descrete
spell vs. his club mate: 4-0-2 in the last 6
matches.
However, his 4th win in 7 months arrived
with a lucky shot (and many saves) that
somehow found its way in.
In the same way, Jim lost to Rick in the
semfinal playoff as Rick clinched his 20th
Challenge a few seconds from the
shootouts. "
Karma is a bitch!", sentenced
Miguel.

The destiny of the Final, which was the 9th
Miguel-Rick Challenge and 3rd Marques Derby
of the day, looked already written when
Miguel took an early 2-goal lead.
Rick's comeback forced the overtime that
however ended in the last minute when
Miguel found the net with one of his long
distance shots.
