EDITION XVII
Leg One, Wallingford, February 6
MIGUEL 2-2 RICK

Leg Two, Meriden, March 5
RICK 0-0 MIGUEL
(Rick wins on away goals, agg. 2-2)
Miguel pressed right away for a
needed away goal. Rick became
attack minded as a goal for
Miguel appeared imminent.
However, Miguel was unable to
capitalize on several
opportunities, and the title was
determined on vital away goals.
EDITION XVIII
On their way to the 2009
Nationals, the Marques Brothers
give life to another memorable
edition:
Leg One, Meriden, June 12
RICK 0-2 MIGUEL
Leg Two, Wallingford, June 12
MIGUEL 2-2 RICK
EDITION XIX
Leg One, Wallingford, Sept.11
MIGUEL 1-1 RICK
Leg Two, Meriden, October 10
RICK 1-1 (1-2) MIGUEL
Overall, Leg Two was a bit of a
sloppy game, with a lot of
turnovers, in which Rick striked
first to take a 2-1 aggregate
lead. Miguel knew all he needed
was one goal to even things up
and scored late in 2nd half to
extend the tie into OT. Both
players had several chances, but
both failed to convert
opportunities. Miguel claimed his
13th title after shootouts with
Rick being extremely unlucky: 3
of his shots hit double post and
didn't cross the goal line!
Final marques cup this year to be
played in December/January.
EDITION XX
Leg One, Wallingford, January 22
MIGUEL 1-0 RICK
