Connecticut meets Rome

captain, Massimo Conturso.
The two Romans started playing together in
1985 and founded the Bjorne Club of Ostia
with Andrea Marchetti.

December 27th in Ostia, Rome:
Massimo Conturso vs. Francesco Codraro
4-2, 3-1, 1-0, 3-1, 4-1, 2-0, 3-1, 2-0
The two former Bjorne members split the day in two sessions
and played avidly eight matches to make up for the low
attendance and the long waiting since their last match.
The hours went by fast and pleasant and, by dinner time,
Massimo resulted the moral winner of this show down between
the two Basetta Day champions, having won 8 out of 8.
December 28th in Rome:
Forvm Tournament, 3rd meeting
In the splendid frame of the Roma Forvm Sports Center
(www.forumroma.it), Conturso took part to the itinerant
tournament organized by Black Rose's Enrico Guidi and claimed a
honorable 5th place out of 20.
Apart from the competition, Massimo had the pleasure to meet
many stars of the Roman stage, such as Scatamacchia,
Tagliaferri, Rodriguez and Guidi himself.
The atmosphere at the venue was great and sportsmanship &
performance were top notch.
The ..American had chance to play 4 matches against players of
4 different Roman clubs and the balance was very positive:
